No discovery was ever made without risk or adventure.
No one encounters prosperity without encountering danger
Invitation extended to enter a magical world
A land I like to call ‘The Garden Of Prosperity’
At the entrance, hangs a quote by Tryon Edwards:
“To rejoice in another’s prosperity is to give content to your lot;
to mitigate another’s grief is to alleviate or dispel your own.”
As you enter the gates you are greeted by two pots
One plent and the other bount
Plent is potted with flowers of happiness, health, harmony
And bount, with flowers of kindness, compassion and mercy
With each stop you take into the womb of this garden magnificent
You meet more plants, shrubs, and herbs
Exhibiting vigorous growth of living
You come across rows of Armerias
White pink flower heads with funnel shaped scarious calyx
Further you will see an oak wood carved sculpture of Don Marquis
Underneath I read,
“Fate often puts all the material for happiness and prosperity into a man’s hands
just to see how miserable he can make himself with them.”
I stumble upon a sight not so pleasant,
Caged cacti that represent poverty, depression, failure, shortage, destitution, adversity
Big bulbs of prickly thorns
Retiring in poverty by not preparing for retirement
Borrowing and spending is not the way to prosperity
It is easy to give advice to the afflicted when we are in prosperity:
The cacti reminded me of that.
Comfort and prosperity have never enriched the world as much as adversity has
I come to the core of the womb and realize I am
In presence of the biggest, tallest, most gigantic, magnificent tree
In the heartland of milk and honey
Prosperity and plenty promised by God
Nestled in a stream of natural fertility
Tree magnificent surrounded by trees three
First the thrift tree with leaves of acquired wealth and success
Second the rising tree with branches of good fortune and favourable outcomes
And the final tree of generosity,
Generous as someone who would give the arms off their sleeve
All trees three covered in densely tufted plants
Sun-loving, low-growing evergreens.
If there is a will, prosperity can’t be far behind
The trick is to make sure you don’t die waiting for prosperity to come!
Being like an Asopalav tree that stands over 30 feet
As an example of parsimony, nobility and humbleness.
A tree tall as three stories with all the leaves bowing to the ground
Thanking Mother Earth for bounty, plenty and prosperity.
Pumpkins mark the end of prosperity and return to normal
Hence we celebrate October and Fall Fests
But even after and surely before prosperity can be shared
We can create wealth together
Contribution is the key to gain prosperity in return
Tight as the bark to a tree, tools to prepare your own
Prosperity is the fit of knowing who you are
And when you do, don’t let it conceal your genius.
The garden of prosperity begins with one seed
That tiny seed knows in order to grow
It needed to be dropped in dirt, be covered in darkness
And go through struggles to reach out to the light.
What will you find here? Go figure…
