Wishing you Happy Diwali, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Bodhi Day, Id al-Fitr, Yule, Winter Solstice, Christmas, Kwanzaa!
With the exception of Holiday Fare and loads of gratitude, these wishes are the extent to which Garden Spices addresses the upcoming holidays. However, we extend heartfelt blessings to all who celebrate their traditions. In the meantime, Garden Spices is in Process.
This word “process” investigates mind, body, and spirit to determine and examine the how-to-get-throughs of each Contributor. Process is not relegated to a time or an action; it is ongoing, and a part of everything. While we know it is transitional, we can always count on it being transforming as well.
From the lens of Guest Contributor, Craig Applegarth, we feel his spirit in photographs born out of his recovery from addiction. Our featured image reveals the glistening stars shining through the darkness – his process/peace in The World According to Craig. (If we were celebrating holidays, I would say it is like a Silent Night, a birth of light).
Light is ultimately what we search for in each process. Surrendering is what we learn from Guest Contributor and author, Dr. Joyce Brown in The Process of Letting Go…Waiting on God, and Guest Contributor, River, takes us further into surrendering and emergence with An Ongoing Process. Guest Contributor, Sherry Bean Lloyd, invites us to enjoy the creative process of Home design.
Each of our Contributors share their journeys of making it through, which sometimes comes with ease and sometimes only through sheer determination. They also turn the concept of process on its head and invite you to share what it means to you. We welcome you to come along with us, as we all discover what many of us will be reminded of through these stories.
