Recognition of Inclusion

By Robert V Gerard

Recently, the term DEI surfaced in our political debacle. The source of this recent outcry was primarily the Republican Maga Party's efforts to disgrace Vice-President Kamala Harris. DEI is the acronym for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. It stemmed from the Civil Rights movement in the 1960s.

According to Webster's Dictionary, 'DEI' is a concept and practice organizations use to recognize and value differences among people, ensure fair opportunities for everyone, and foster a work environment where all feel welcomed and respected."

While contemplating, I received a compelling message about the nature of inclusion. Let's recognize what inclusion means. Our ever-expanding Universe is vast, including the endless flow of energy from which Life takes its cues. One of those cues pertains to the natural evolution of inclusion.

The expansion of consciousness is driven by the act of inclusion, which is an innate desire of most life forms. From a human perspective, belonging to, unifying with, and membership represent unity consciousness stemming from inclusion, a natural process. Inclusion is a crucial aspect of human development as it signifies an expanding relationship beyond the boundaries of the physical form, embraces social interaction, and facilitates the expansion of the emotional body, serving as the pillar of perpetuating wisdom. It involves seeking to be part of something greater. The self-healing process of our DNA drives this process—as healing implies returning to the whole—a process of inclusion.

"If we want to include everyone, we have to help everyone develop their talents and use their gifts for the good of the community. That's what inclusion means– everyone contributes." –Melinda Gates

Inclusion starts with you but doesn't end with you. It's for everyone. Each of us needs to connect our hands with others, allowing our fingers to function as roots, anchoring this planet in harmony. Then, the Law of Attraction, which brings similar energies together, will take care of the rest. Our Earth will then align with universal harmony.

Remind yourself that inclusion is a very powerful tool:

  • How many hands were joined together to build the pyramids?

  • How many friends joined their hands to help build a new home?

  • How many hands from different countries united to help people in need after a catastrophe?

  • How many hands does it take to produce, transport, sell, cook, and serve the food on your table?

  • How many hands are joined together to create computer programs, cars, bridges, and monuments?

  • How many hands have handled the money you use to buy and sell things?

  • How good do you feel when embracing your child, touching your spouse, hugging, and shaking the hands of your friends?

Inclusion connects people. When people's hearts and hands are joined, they perpetuate a more vital consciousness for society.

People who hold on to their shadows attempt to sever or widen the social gap between a unified and self-righteous society. Dividing and conquering the populous is a military strategy easily observed in the political scene. Shadow people promote fear, hate, and racism. Many fear-based political pundits unjustly shame and blame those they identify as DEI. That's a sad behavior. Do they know that offending others reveals their ignorance of the laws of Life? When people knowingly lie, cheat, and intimidate others, they reveal their shortcomings.

There are over 8.3 billion people on this beloved Earth, and should one claim to be a better individual, so does the other guy. We are all unique, especially in the absence of judgment.

Think about the potential for generating phenomenal conversations worldwide rather than spreading hateful and condescending words.

Let's take the dark energy that spews from awful mouths and convert it into some form of Light. We have the power, the desire, and the heart to transform energy into something beautiful, loving, and peaceful.

I wonder if people with closed minds can fully understand DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). However, when discussing DEI, it's crucial to prioritize inclusion. Begin by sharing what inclusion means to you without making any judgments. Engaging in open and respectful conversations is essential to encourage others to reflect on their beliefs.

Democracy depends on inclusion. It forms the foundation for sustained growth when combined with diversity and equity. It is up to us to step forward, get excited, and recognize that our Creator has instilled this form of intelligence into the Universe and the human genome. When DEI is respected, humanity is endowed with social gifts, allowing humankind to flourish peacefully.

We will all profit from a more diverse, inclusive society, understanding, accommodating, even celebrating our differences, while pulling together for the common good." –Ruth Bader Ginsburg
