We watched how different countries celebrated the new year around the world. We had the traditional cornbread, peas, and greens. Before I went to bed, I wrote down all my affirmations for the new year as if they had already happened, folded them, and put them in my wallet. Then I sat down with my 3-year-old and wrote this out for the new year.

My mind shifted around November of 2024 so that I could prepare for a better life in 2025.

I volunteered to spend the night at my daughter’s home so she and her hubby could host their closest friends for a party. I wanted to be there to wake up with their toddler so they could sleep in.
At midnight, I joined them for a champagne toast and retreated back to my bedroom, where I was binging on a TV series😂
I loved hearing their celebration. There was much joy and laughter. I shifted into 2025 feeling blessed being with my beloveds🙏🏽❤️

With ease and quiet. The world needs more stillness. It holds enormous power.

I went to 3 church worship services in fellowship, prayer, praise, and fireworks. I decreed a positive mindset and operated in forgiveness. Alignment with God on my assignment from God.

SHIFT: To grow, enlighten, develop, and change; all with love, patience, grace, and understanding. This is my interpretation of "Shift". ♡ss

I came into 2025 with a different mindset. I will live my life without the help of people dictating my steps, I will be more focused on family, each moment will be a moment of thanksgiving. I feel most of my needs have been granted, therefore, I can pay attention to others.(communication, help when needed, errands, etc) I feel that’s not too much for 2025. I guess the older we get, life looks a little different.

Yearly, my husband and I have a midnight dinner of crab legs, baked potato, corn on the cob, cole slaw, wine, and beer with a good movie to watch....this year, it was...
"Gladiators 2". After dinner, a movie...a sweet kiss for good luck, Prayer, and a Good Night.
❤ by the way, kitchen cleaning waits till Morning 😁 Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!!! You entered 2025 with determination, tradition, compassion, and, for some, by sleeping. Garden Spices Magazine (GS) appreciates your feedback; your voice is always valued.
The theme for our upcoming issue on March 4th is dear to me. It's often considered an art - "Compromise." Far from surrendering defeat, compromise will play a crucial role if we aim to engage in civil dialogue or foster any sense of harmony. Does it mean surrender?
