We can teach children early how beauty affects
us. Emotionally Spiritually And Physically . Making these acts of life a practice in areas that may show up for us when life happens. Beauty in lessons: acceptance, forgiveness, fortitude, humanity and Love.
Art.... My work is Composed of the topic Love Emotions and healing. My choice is water based mediums dyes acrylic paints watercolor sumi inks from charcoal chalk pastels for immediate results. I like clean lines, less fuss and powerful details. I like bold statements of imagery. Rituals, Textiles and patterns . Paper and fabric works very well for me. I enjoy large scale works that look and feel like a Print or photograph . The images are a part of my dreams that I turn into reality .
Embroidery is one of my favorites to incorporate in my work.
The stitching of patterns and various designs give life into each piece if it is required. I work with fibers and textiles and hand painting my own designs on fabric. Over the years Installations were made of paper sculptures, raffia and fabric tulle.
I can work very large in scale, allowing me to work in circular space for the viewer to walk around the sculpture.
Happiness ....The transformation of creating these installations of Peace and harmony is a huge satisfaction. I create workshops for the young and adults with materials to build them with an emphasis of writing how they feel. I never know what is behind it. The goal is to share what we can create based on positive transformation within oneself or community or substance.This workshop was designed in my teaching practice in Arts and Education. It allows me to create spaces of beauty within
circumstances or challenges we may face ,and how to turn it around to heal and share. Environments
are extremely important in change.
