Gardening with Que!

Early starts

There is something special about growing and eating food from your garden. Its been about 9 years since David Walton helped me plant my first garden and I have been planting every season since.❤❤❤

I am grateful. This salad was delicious.

Kale, arugula, butter lettuce, purple romaine, and green romaine.

So funny but not. I planted spinach twice from seed and once from seedlings with no success. So, I’m cleaning out the bed with the cow parsley which I thought was celery and found 1 spinach plant. I planted 30ish seeds last fall and none of them came up. Now, this pops out of the dirt. Just one.

I can’t believe these scrap potatoes sprouted in my compost bend. My neighbor finally raked and I scored organic material to plant them in. I didn’t bury them I placed them inside the organic matter. I will continue to mulch as they grow. It is an experiment and I believe it’s going to work.!!!!

I should have some broccoli soon. Do you see it coming to a head? ❤❤❤❤❤

Today, my sweet Zawadi invited me to dinner. I was working in my garden and she was preparing our dinner. She reminded me of when I was a little girl. I asked, “What are you putting in my trays?” She replied, ” INGREDIENTS!” 😂😂😂😂😂😂 She set the pillows up for us to sit and served our dinner.
