An Awesome Gift

Insight – The power or act of seeing into a situation.

The act of apprehending the inner nature of things or of seeing intuitively.

Recently, I have been moving through a significant transformational period. Everything has been a challenge. My sleep pattern changes at will. I have not been able to think congruently and have been in no way controlling myself. I needed some balance. I asked for it, and just like that, a spiritual class was offered, and I knew this came forth as my balancing activity. I knew this because my favorite teacher was assigned to facilitate the class. The first week of class, there were others enrolled that I have done much spiritual study with over the years. There was even a good friend that, once upon a lifetime, I was able to assist her in starting a spiritual teaching center. My ability to see into my situation proved to be life-altering, and I am in the midst of an uplifting experience.

It was early one Sunday morning, and “something told me” to make sure and watch the online service streaming from the church, a Baptist Church, where my best friend is on staff. Of course, I was obedient, and as soon as I logged in, the Pastor was sitting there in a Morehouse Tee Shirt as confirmation that this was the right thing to do. It also set a high level of expectancy, even though I did not know what to expect. Well, during his sermon, the Pastor delivered a personal just for my message from God, instructing me to doubt no more. So, yes, I was up doing my dance, at least until my knee said to stop. But it was the act of apprehending the inner nature of things and the ability to see intuitively led me into this experience. Insight.

One more example of the insight provides a much different manner. In a career from long, long ago, I was an IBM Marketing Representative. When calling on a decision-maker, I would look around their office to note pictures, books, plaques, awards, and the like. Then, during the initial conversation where I was building rapport, I would work something in to get them to talk about themselves. People love to talk about themselves. So I would pay attention to their likes, dislikes, and what things were important to them as they would provide me with insight into how to sell them. Insight, what an awesome gift.

The “something told me’s” and hunches of all kinds usually are generated by our insight. We can see beyond what we think we see. We must learn to trust this ability more as it can help to enhance our life experience. Peace
