Since the mid-19th Century, America has been one of the world's leading nations in pursuing peace, improving, and protecting humanity. How a child grows, learns, and becomes an adult, America is also learning. Its purpose is to bring freedom, the pursuit of happiness, and prosperity to all people. Other than being resilient, it has minimal culture, but being devoted to the American philosophy and values, it has a dream. And that beautiful dream is its only tangible culture.
America is a nation of diverse cultures, beliefs, and values, all under one flag and one land. Rarely in history has such a magnificent gathering of a populace coalesced to pursue their dream as in America. This accomplishment is phenomenal and respected.
The stability of a growing nation is achieved by developing a good economy. In so doing, local, state, and federal governments unite without compromising the values but by compromising the system, reassuring economic expansion. It is a cooperative pursuit. When successful, we celebrate. When it's not successful, we reboot. When we identify the problems within the system, we recalibrate. Design. Implement. And move forward again as best as possible.
Understand that you can't make the culture great again, but you can improve it. Every nation known to history experienced growth in the same manner. Nonetheless, nations deteriorated oppositely. Civilizations have come and gone. Cultures have been wiped clean from Earth. History repeats itself well. When hatred, bigotry, and cruelty by the people ignite, civility divides, the government fails, and the nation collapses.
What have we become? Did we select our leaders and permit them to put a knife through our dream? Over the past three months, I've witnessed the American Dream get compromised. Once compromised, you lose control and become subject to the whims and likings of the masters.
Your only choice is to stand up firmly and intervene. Stop the tyranny and stop compromising the truth about the beauty and culture of being an American. Foreigners and countries seeking hope are turning their backs away from America. They feel America struggling to live up to the standards they once proudly projected.
Americans need to reclaim their brotherhood and sisterhood. Not let greed and the quest for power override the quest for peaceful co-existence. Americans must purify their bias and bigotry, instead expand their unique-self and realize their inner and outer beauty—the need to reawaken the understanding that obtaining civility is an educational process. When I observed how much my wife studied to become an American citizen, I realized that she probably knew more about this great country, its Constitution, and how justice must prevail than most naturally born Americans.
Every individual embodies the Spirit of Life. That's God's gift to humankind. Within that realm, each of us must embrace the Spirit of another. It is our obligation to correct the dysfunctional behavior but not kill the Spirit. It is my belief that the day will come when the Spirit returns to the dream.
